What Is Air Conditioning Noise?
Often the issue with air conditioning noise is not your own, but the neighbours unit – positioned near a bedroom. If we are not able to build an acoustic enclosure around the air conditioner, we can address noise issues by building a small privacy barrier or implementing sound absorption and blocking techniques in the nearby wall.
When enquiring about air conditioner noise solutions, it’s best to have measurements of your air conditioner and the affected wall to get accurate pricing.
Why Quash for Stopping Air Conditioner Noise?
Common Questions
Can you reduce noise from an air conditioner?
Yes. The usual fix is an acoustic barrier or enclosure around the unit, and sometimes quietening the windows that face it.
Will an enclosure stop my air conditioner working properly?
We design enclosures with airflow and service access in mind, and talk you through clearances before anything is built.
What about my neighbour’s air conditioner?
If you can’t treat the unit itself, we can quieten your side instead, usually the windows or walls facing it.
How much quieter will it be?
The Quash Noise Reduction Guarantee: you’ll hear the difference, or we’ll make it right. For noise coming in or out, that means at least half as loud, a 10 dB improvement on what you have now (normal noise levels; details confirmed in your quote).
How much does it cost?
It depends on the size of the job and where the noise is getting in. Our free online estimate gives you a real figure based on your measurements.
