Westrac first approached Quash to help them separate two workshop divisions, Flexiparts and Caterpillar New Sales.
The Client initially planned to install a standard Steel and Trimdek wall; however, the project needed significantly more noise reduction.
At Quash, we developed a solution that separated the two divisions with a noise-attenuating wall. This acoustic wall not only isolated the gas and chemicals to one side but also exceeded the client’s expectations with the amount of noise reduction it provided. Our noise reduction solution allowed Westrac to reuse a significant amount of decommissioned space.
As part of our solution, Quash also provided a flexible gantry crane curtain to contain the Gas and Noise. This curtain feature allowed the gantry crane to move continuously between divisions while retaining its noise-reduction features.
Extra features added to this project also included personnel access through a Sound Lock panel with flexible strip curtains.
The outcome of this Quash successful project was that Westrac engaged Quash to install similar noise reduction wall systems and door projects at various other Westrac sites.
